Dave Maro, E.A.

Dave has been a Tax Associate with PoliceTax since 2004. He specializes in preparing law enforcement tax returns and a variety of other professional tax clients. Dave was a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff from 1990-1999. He was assigned to custody at PDC-South and patrol at East Los Angeles Station.

From 1999 until he retired, Dave worked for the District Attorney’s Office-Bureau of Investigation. He worked a variety of assignments, including the Public Integrity Unit, Code Enforcement Unit and Range Staff. As an Investigator, Dave was awarded the ALADS Exemplary Performance Award for investigative excellence. In 2006, he promoted to the rank of sergeant. Dave worked a variety of assignments as a sergeant and was also cross-designated as a federal agent and supervised a team of investigators in the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force.

Dave retired after more than 30 years in law enforcement in January 2021.
